Bob was born in Joplin, Mo and was raised in Bentonville,
Arkansas. He met Christ through the ministry of the Spurlow’s
singing group. He didn’t start growing spiritually until he met
the Navigators while a sophomore at the US Naval Academy.
Reehm is a 1974 graduate of the US Naval Academy with a
degree in Chemistry.
After graduation, he spent a year in
advanced post graduate studies in Nuclear Engineering. He
served in the reactor department of USS Enterprise; Damage
Control Assistant on the USS Bainbridge and as the Academic
Director of Surface Warfare Officer School in Coronado. He left
the Navy in 1982 to go into vocational ministry with the Navigators. He was ordained in 1987.
He has been assigned to the Naval Post Graduate school since 1989 and has mentored over 600
officers in the last 40 years. He has been married to his wife Char for 42 years. They have 3
children and 8 grand-children.
In 1997 he published his first book, “The War Within, Gaining Victory in the Battle for Sexual
Purity.” It won national recognition and the Amazon.com, Best-Seller award in the category of
Christian Counseling. It was also endorsed by Promise Keepers as their book for the promise of
Moral Integrity. He has spoken several hundred times nationally and internationally on the
relationship between Pornography, Reducing Sexual Assaults and Suicides. He was the key note
speaker for the Air Force Sexual Assault awareness week in Ramstein, Germany. Twenty plus
years ago, Mr. Reehm trained 180 Chaplains and Chaplain Assistants stationed at Ft. Hood, with
his research on pornography and culture. His briefings regarding changing the military culture
of pornography, reducing both sexual assaults and suicides have been seen by the Chief of
Naval Operations, and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. He has briefed 9 difference
commands on the topic.
In 2021, he published a Bible study book called “Every Man a Pure Warrior”. It is book 4 of
the “Every Man a Warrior” series written by Lonnie Berger. In the last 11 years, the Every Man
a Warrior” men’s leadership curriculum has spread to 65 countries, making it the fastest
growing men’s study in the world.
